These Terms of Use govern your use of Fluent for macOS and the official Fluent website. By using Fluent, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy, which may be updated at any time without notice. You are responsible for staying informed about changes.

Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or circumvent protections in Fluent
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on Fluent
  • Distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense Fluent
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
  • Use Fluent for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

AI Services and Content

Fluent may utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning features. By using these features:

  • You acknowledge that AI-generated suggestions are automated and may not always be accurate
  • You retain full responsibility for any content you create or modify using Fluent
  • You understand that AI suggestions are for assistance only and should be reviewed before use

Privacy and Data Protection

Fluent collects zero personal data and zero telemetry. For details, see the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

Fluent (app and website) is the intellectual property of Epic Bits. Third‑party libraries, models (including local MLX models which are hosted and shared by Hugging Face), assets, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their licenses. Epic Bits does not claim rights to, nor accept liability for, third‑party materials.

Warranty and Liability

Fluent is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Epic Bits does not warrant that Fluent will be uninterrupted or error-free. Please back up your data regularly. Epic Bits is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or relating to your use of Fluent.

Refunds

If you purchase a standalone version of Fluent from the website, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. If you purchase Fluent Lite via the Apple App Store, refund eligibility is determined by Apple’s terms and conditions. Feedback is appreciated—please consider contacting Support via email or the Support Forum before or after requesting a refund.

App Store

When downloading Fluent Lite (limited and cheaper version) via the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple’s End User License Agreement (EULA).
